Neura Futures
Neura Futures is a research-based creative-tech project lead by Dr. Nataliya Kosmyna in MIT Media Lab. It explores the multitute of brain-computer interface devices — weather speculative or soon-to-become-real, through a comprehensive research, from science to science fiction, of 450+ books, papers, movies, and TV shows in total.
Researching from 100+ scenarios, use cases, form-factors of some of the most futuristic systems imagined by humans over the past 500 years, we bring to life 70+ real life model of BCI devices that people had imagined in popular culture, trying to answer the one urging question — How far is too far?
During my time there, I played around with BCI devices, made art projects with them, curated 3 art exhibitions, created an on-site installation, designed exhibition collaterals, and re-branded the graphic.
